Dynamic, Date-Based Color with JavaScript, HSL, and CSS Variables

This is the third post in a three-part series about Tinnitus Tracker, my new live music diary. Sometime during the development of Tinnitus Tracker, it occurred to me that color would be a good way to give its many entries—which span nearly three decades—a sense of time and place.
